Keep an eye on where Jaden Bradley ends up … Penny doesn’t have that one locked up and if he heads out to AZ … That’ll be an interesting fit with Boswell to say the least … Boswell does NOT want to play the 2 …
Honestly, would love Boswell. While RayJ is more established, I thought Boswell showed well at the end, played for a high major and to me was their most poised guard, is very young, and is a local legend. Part of me would want Boswell just from standpoint of long-term impact. Don't know if that would be a deterrent though to TSJ/Coleman as he is not greatly experienced, but we have picked up Harmon, Domask, and Querrier with all 3 known as being grinders.

Boswell may be the new white whale of recruiting. AMcDAA level talent with 3 years remaining who will have burned his transfer freebie. But Coleman hasn’t been subtle that he wants to play with an experienced PG next year.

So if you take Boswell over RayJ, you potentially get a great PG for 3 years but it may very well cost you Coleman and maybe even TJ, since alot folks are drawing a straight line between this years chaos and immature, inexperienced PG play.

Of course Coleman and TJ could still leave regardless of PG decision. But Boswell could jump to the pros after a year and it’s not impossible that he transfers again. It’s a gamble either way. Maybe I’ve just got a bad taste in my mouth after last year but RayJ seems like the safer play and our transfers fully suggest we are in win now mode, so to me it’s paramount we make the roster as attractive as possible for Coleman and TJ to come back. I would go with with RayJ but it’s an interesting debate and one I think will be recurring in this era.

I think if there is a possibility that Boswell becomes available and shows interest in coming to ILL, then Brad would do his due diligence and green light the move with TJ and Coleman, and they don't then sorry Boswell, find another team.

He wouldn't come here if we get RayJ though, would he?

I know those are highlights, but I like how much strength and aggression he displays. Good rebounder and a physical player. His efficiency isn't great (58% FT, 42% FG, 35% 3P), and I'm not sure he was considered a plus defender. Is he expected to be a starter?
I'd expect him to start. I do not feel Oregon's system was a good fit for him. He played the 3 a lot but is more if a 4 not as good as but kind of like EJ Liddell. QG struggled guarding quicker wings but did well vs guy like Wahl of Wisconsin. I view our line up like Piper does after listening to last nights podcast.

1 PG- vet transfer/Harmon/ DGL
2- TSJ/Harris/TY/ Harmon/Domask
3- Domask/Goode/TY
4- QG/Hawk/ Ty/ Domask/Amani
5- Hawk/Dain/ Amani/ QG

I feel Ty will play starters minutes due to his versatility Ty can really play almost any position except as a shooter to stretch the opposition. Ty will play a lot and could be the best 6th man in the B10. Domask just does so many things well that this squad needed last season given his ability to shoot, pass, cut, 87 percent from the line and plays without making many errors I just think he is being undevalued. Also QG is does some things TY does and is a much better shooter. Clearly Piper and Warner expect Domask and QG to start and I do too.
If Hawk leaves we add a big. If TSJ does then it will be interesting to see what happens.
