Spot on WRT to Ty. That said, his lack of outside shooting is not going to be a killer because we have enough good shooters to have options. Plus, Rodgers' bread and butter when playing point is mid-range and going to the rack. And, hopefully, his shot and his handles are improved. Having a year under his belt could pay huge dividends. He's far from a conventional point, but he has skills that translate. Gonna be real interesting to see how this goes,
Like Rodgers but he has no midrange game. Can't shoot beyond a layup.

If he did this would be realistic backup option.

Wilcher a Top 10 guy when he committed to a blueblood. Senior year goes by and he's top 40, role looking less certain. https://247sports.com/PlayerSport/Simeon-Wilcher-at-Roselle-Catholic-256005/RecruitRankHistory/

Probably looking for a place he can be assured of being a Starter right away.

While every player is unique and it's not totally fair to hold one guy accountable for a different guy's actions, this is a train we've seen before really recently and I dunno if I'm ready to hop on it again. If he destroys us with Nebraska, tip your hat to him.

Agree with the vast majority of your post. Agree that Rodgers isn't a PG, but you're selling him short. I agree with "bit of handles". What isn't mentioned is his passing and decision making are borderline superb. Yeah, his handles aren't near PG level, but he's a really good facilitator. I'd give him enough rope and see what he can (and can't) do.
Didn't we give him a *short* try at PG last year? A 4-5 possession experiment. I remember him having real problems bringing the ball up the court and turnovers on O when the opposing PG pressed. I was happy to see the experiment. It also seemed pretty conclusive.

Fair concern.
Issue with Clark seemed to be complete inability to beat a street cone off the bounce.
Not sure if it was mental or physical but had no first step. Ok shooter. No D. Really was just a guy. Apparently not a great guy in locker room.

Oh good...I was worried we would run out of drama and start checking in with NBA PodzDraft talk.

Roselle Catholic. Isn’t that where Kahlil Whitney transferred to?

That's correct. He's not a good ball-handler. He's an awful shooter from anything beyond 6 feet. Also a poor FT shooter. Hey, other than that, he's got the PG position down to a T.

I'd love for him to make a magical leap in his ball-handling and shooting abilities. But I think it's extremely unlikely, at least in a year's time.
