How warm is BU's seat right now? A lot of pressure to perform this year I'm assuming. But is it warm enough where Josh is starting to ask gauge interest from other coaches through back channels?

No way. We’d be super foolish to even consider moving on from a coach who’s made us an annual-tournament team and big ten contender.

Outside of Illinois circles, no one considers Brad's seat the least bit warm. I think he would have to miss the NCAAT 3 times in a row to get fired

Agree about those outside the program, but it sounded like Josh W was none too pleased with BU kicking the tires around some other opportunities shortly after the season. Maybe I'm remembering wrong, but if that's the case I don't think it would take 3 misses.

He’s paid the big bucks with the goal of making more growth, not just be a tourney team. Besides, there’s always a chance that he leaves Illinois if the right jobs open up and since some of the relationships he’s built have started to sour.

Yeaaaa good life lesson is don't make the people with the money angry. He needs to win bigger if he wants to thumb his nose at boosters.

A University doesn't pay a coach Top 10 in the Nation salary to miss the NCAAT period, more the less three consecutive times.

Might/May get a pass once, depending on circumstances, but consecutively? Can't imagine it.

To paraphrase the old saying, With great power (salary & school backing) comes great expectations

If I am not mistaken he just retained the job he was already in. The NCAA just expanded what that job was allowed to do.

1) What father is going to fire his own son? 2) Given what Tyler is likely getting paid doubt ful if there are budgeted resources for attracting one of these high-powered x and o guys, with 18 years expereince and recuriting connections spanning the globe.

I would say the PG position has a few question marks. Hard to say the team has multiple good PG's

Kevin did 2 years at Northern Arizona as an assistant before Lon brought him on staff …

If Tyler went out and did 2 years as an recruiting assistant at another program and then Brad hired him back … I wouldn’t have as big of a problem with it … He’d have got experience outside of his fathers program … Made some different connections outside of the ones his Dad already has …

100% agree....how much is Tyler Underwood's salary this season? Take away the name and no way he's a D1 high major college coach right now.

That reverse pivot 15' jumper on the sagging post defender ( .21 mark) is . Kid will jump out of his shorts on the next one while Rez pumps and thunderchunks one two-handed. Will start to force quick double-teams (which is why I love the reverse pivot). At least one of QG, TSJ, CH, Ty, MD will have a matchup that simply cannot guard this due to size or quickness discrepancy. I want this all day.

One thing I love about Morez is, in pretty much every clip I've seen, he just plays basketball. He's not out there running his mouth, getting in people's face, or flexing. Nothing I love more than a 6'5" guy standing around flexing because of a dunk while the play goes on behind him. Whoopdi freakin doo, you dunked like every other 6'5" guy on the floor can do. Rez seems like more of a no nonsense type of guy, which is refreshing.
