see my post # 72 in this thread .............Word I’ve been told is they see a lot of Ben to this kid …
Can’t say I disagree …
YIKES …
There was a definitely something there.Too white.
You're not following. In last 7 seasons Houston has 3 sweet 16/ 1 elite 8/ 1 final 4/ 1 runner up finish. Oh btw the Covid year they didn’t get a chance to play I think Houston has been performing at an elite level
....6'8", coordinated, has an outside shot, might grow, etc.I’ll play devils advocate. He has a nice stroke, has good footwork, and executes nicely in the pick and roll. It looks like lot of Fletch in his future.
Those are transfers not kids out of highschool. Doesn’t apply here.
OA is going to have to step up his game with Hammer on a hot streak. /s
First of all … I never attacked the kid … I attacked the staffs evaluation and thinking this kid is Big Ten Caliber … Considering not a single other HM staff in the country offered this kid … Don’t think I’m too far off base …
As far as filling out the roster … You wanna go after non HM kids … Fine … Go find DAWGS … Under rated, under recruited kids … Trent Frazier … Andres Feliz … Jacob Grandison … Giorgi … I mean shoot even Coleman Hawkins is that kind of guy … We got away from that and pivoted to this …
And I’m simply stating my opinion that I don’t think it’s the right decision … No one is attacking the kids …
Ya, this doesn't strike as the 4 alarm fire it's being presented as. Do I like it? Not necessarily, but I don't see an end of the bench player who doesn't cost much or demand tons of tick(who we have to have) being a big deal. If there is a trend, then ok, let's talk more.guess it's hot takes, Wednesday
I might say they are projecting what they hoped Ben would be on this kid rather than what Ben actually was last season.Word I’ve been told is they see a lot of Ben to this kid …

What will this board ever do when it’s favorite scapegoat is gone (Hamer)
After watching the highlights, it was impressed. Love his style of play, and thought that he showed that he had some very good skills, and the potential develop into a very good player . I don't understand why you seem so intent on labeling him as a mistake, or perhaps a worthless, and undeserving recruit.Unacceptable … Shouldn’t be recruiting … Really shouldn’t be on staff … But that’s a whole other subject …
The kid barely averaged double figures in freaking Iowa at 6’8 and we think he’s Big Ten caliber ??
Give me a break …
Hey all you cuckoos….remember where we spend our money and get 95% of our talent now…..
Bingo. NOBODY knows what this kid will grow into. What is he, 17 years old?Seems reasonable. The way this board takes cues from certain insiders can be annoying
Exactly, no NIL and we have more scholarships now. Basically a 2025's equivalent of a walk on role since there are no.more walk onsthere's an awful lot of angst over a 12-15 kid
Five of the 3,000 players that enter the portal, including some of our guys, will be out there. It's silly to get worked up over this commitment.Constanza, Suigo, and Mitchell are all still out there
ILL - ICthis won't be an "if he becomes an illini" it's a "when"
