On the bright side I thought Fields took a step forward.
Agreed. Offense still has its issues but things are improved compared to what they had been.
Fields looked much more poised in the pocket. Internal clock improved greatly from previous games. Accuracy was more on point.
Now he just needs to keep stacking games like this and continue to make something out of nothing with this rag tag group of WR castoffs.

And then she said, Kendrick is always talking about Illinois, and even has an Illinois keychain.
There’s something about that place that really sticks with you.
I told the next time she sees him to tell him I said “I-L-L-.”

I'd take what Martz says with a grain of salt. He's the same person that had Cutler doing 5 and 7 step drops behind a bad o-line too.

Also, I honestly feel slightly bad for Al and Herbstreit. They have to try and spin this garbage into something intriguing but it's just sad.
