Went to Rock Island High School.I had no idea he grew up near the QCs.

So... he's nice and calm?Looks like Fran going defcon 5 like Holtman did tonight.
Ever since the Grobber died, I have no reason to listen to the Score.
Yeah, he finds any reason to come after the Illini and it is so predictable. He said Bielema was going to lose the team after he said we had no depth. The following week, we upset Penn State. He said Curbelo should not have been benched in the second half of the tournament game having no clue what had gone on in the locker room. I hadn’t heard his take on Orange Krush because I removed 670 from my dial because of him.
Just listened to the recorded podcast to see what was said and now my ears are bleeding. It was indeed Bernstein. After calling the fans "downstate goobers" multiple times, he said the Krush should be dissolved for doing this. Apparently stereotyping is bad unless he is doing it then it's OK
Actually Bernstein is the reason I don't really listen to the Score anymore. I find him to be a self important, grade A jerk. Never really cared much for Holmes, either.Even though I strongly disagree with his take on this situation, Bernstein is one of the main reasons I listen to the Score, all the way back to the B&B days. His show right now with him and Laurence Holmes is really good.
Completely agree! I could see Bernstein spending ten minutes mansplaining why Chicagoans should put ketchup on a hot dog, just to get a reaction.Actually Bernstein is the reason I don't really listen to the Score anymore. I find him to be a self important, grade A jerk. Never really cared much for Holmes, either.

I didn't listen to the segment, but this type of (non)story is definitely in Bernstein's wheelhouse for him to take the perceived moral high ground.Just listened to the recorded podcast to see what was said and now my ears are bleeding. I spent an entire summer listening to B&B while working for College Pro Painters in Champaign. Those were the days! I do still enjoy his show for the most part, but in much smaller doses.Bernstein is one of the main reasons I listen to the Score, all the way back to the B&B days. Well there’s no accounting for taste.Even though I strongly disagree with his take on this situation, Bernstein is one of the main reasons I listen to the Score, all the way back to the B&B days. His show right now with him and Laurence Holmes is really good.
To be fair, downstaters do A LOT of stereotyping about people in Chicago too.
Aside from it being an awesome thing to do, that's the wisest $6k you could ever spend on Marketing.
Now how will C.O. Daniel's respond?Aside from it being an awesome thing to do, that's the wisest $6k you could ever spend on Marketing.
When I was young, as a downstater, I was always proud to be from Illinois with the big city Chicago in it. Then I went to college. Holy crap. I had no idea Chicago had such a low opinion of downstate. That was a shock. So you might be right, but at least in my case, it was certainly a learned behavior.
