On the positive side, Bielema should be really familiar with his Walters' defense, which should help when we play Purdue
He’s going to be making at least 3 million moreI read he has a 5 year deal. How much money is He going to make? I expect it will be a pay raise
I mean, taking off my fandom hat for a second, that’s just freaking awesome for RW.He’s going to be making at least 3 million more
He's our competition now. I bet BB feels the same way.I respect Coach Walters and appreciate all he’s done for us. That being said I do not wish Purdue success. I do not wish success to any rival school. Our desire to see the Illini rise and our rivals falter does not change just because we like the rival coach.
If I look at Lunney's offense we had a new OC running a new offense with a new xfer QB and mostly unknowns at WR. We had a solid O-line that maybe lacked a little in the depth department. We had solid strength and conditioning so injuries worked out better than I'd honestly hoped. And we had an amazing set of backs. All things considered, I feel like Illinois performed quite well offensively. That said, I expect improvements next season and we will probably be saying a lot of the same about the line, the receivers, the QB and backs. Our secondary... what's that going to look like?I feel like Bret is going to benefit (in terms of fan patience) from the success Underwood has had with coaching turnover.
He already has to an extent moving on from Peterson as quickly as he did and bringing in Lunney (which is a mixed bag but I believe is an upgrade).
Point being... I feel calm, the rest of Ya'll feel calm?
A marriage of Deion and Jerry Jones is just too good not to happen. He's aiming higher than NCAA FB.....straight to real Prime Time...NFL.
That's ridiculous. Anyone who's heard the two men speak would know they are totally different personalities. Hazell was a bit like a young Lovie Smith. Nice guy, calm, low energy.Darrell Hazell 2.0 ( read this post on a Purdue board)
I would expect nothing less. he's a top notch guy that BB was excited to get from MissouriGave so pretty good praise to Illinois in his presser today and thanked them for the opportunity
I just watched. RW did a very nice job (and he seemed a little nervous.)Gave some pretty good praise to Illinois in his presser today and thanked them for the opportunity
So he did this, which is very cool.
