OMG, i cannot believe Mizzou found a way to lose that. We have had some painful losses, but have we had something that epic?

Missouri lost on the infamous 5th Down back in 1990, so they've certainly had their share of head scratching losses.

MSU basically got its butt whipped by Washington, and now not looking so good against Minny. They keep this up and Mel’s big season last year will start looking farther and farther away in that rear view mirror. Hopefully WSU’s win over Wisky means Badgers aren’t so good this year and ready to get beat by Illini next week.

IMO Minnesota is the clear favorite to win the West right now. Thought this even before today’s game. Hope MSU can get it together in the rest of the game.
Yeah. We’ll see what happens with Wiscy-tOSU, but Minny appears to be the real deal so far.

My question is, if you're voting for the national championship, how do you not vote for Georgia Tech? And if I'm a Ramblin' Wreck fan, I'd still be pissed about having to share the title.

As for Mizzou...

Not impossible that Kansas breaks that streak tomorrow. I bet they need one more (home vs Iowa State next week), but we'll see what happens around the lower parts of the top 25 later today.
Well Miami getting beat by Middle Tennessee at home. There is one likely open spot.

Are other schools' coordinators speculated to leave for HC jobs, etc. as much as ours? E.g. thinking of Minnesota's OC and DC...
Could just be my bias, but sure does feel like there's more chatter, prediction, and insecurity around our assistants leaving (when we're having success; in FB or BB too). And I know it happens everywhere, but still feels extra for us.

I posted this in the Illini Football thread, probably wrong thread, but i am interested to see others thoughts on this. I think this guy is on to something to grow the sport. I could imagine now the prime time event before spring ball to see each teams non con schedule world cup blind draw style. Playoffs are expanding, so teams can afford 1 or 2 losses. Maybe only do a draw once every 2 years to return home and away games.

Please explain the reasoning:

Florida scores a TD to cut the score to 38-27 with 4 and a half minutes to play. They decide to go for the 2 point conversion and miss. I don't understand the thinking.
