North Central star Kris Wilkes pays yet another visit to Bloomington
Wilkes turned up on the sideline at Memorial Stadium, before the Hoosiers' homecoming football game against Nebraska. His AAU coach told IndyStar Wilkes made the trip with a friend who is being recruited by IU's football team. Wilkes appeared to be standing next to Cory Stewart, a football player from North Central, on the sideline pregame.

Very unlikely that Blackmon gets drafted.

Possible second round, but definitely not first round. Players like Blackmon Jr. need to have learned to play PG, but it is too late in their career now.

However, I think he is gone. Flirted with NBA draft last year only to withdraw and seems determined to leave for the pros. Even if he stays another year, his NBA prospects will not improve.

I found this these comments after this article interesting!

Five-star forward Kris Wilkes takes unofficial visit to Indiana

Is it just me, or did anyone else find CTC's comments about in-state recruits selecting IU interesting given the timing of Wilkes' decision?

Arch Puddington Mark Coppock2 days ago I missed it -- what exactly did he say? It has been on lots of people's minds (mine included), so I would be interested to know.

Corey Dunigan Arch Puddington2 days ago He was speaking about IU's sellilng points. Tradition, fans, SSAH, Hoosiers in Pros making millions. As if to say, 'what is wrong with kids who don't say yes to IU, its all here'

Mark Coppock Arch Puddington2 days ago
As Corey says below, it was basically, to paraphrase, "If a kid, especially a local kid, decides not to come to IU, don't ask what's wrong with us. Ask what's wrong with the kid. Because we have some great facilities and campus and yada yada."
Could have been just a random statement, I actually caught it live and haven't had a chance to go back and check into it. But it struck me as interesting, at least.

99% he will be there. The other 1% is for the car to breakdown on 465. Even then he could catch part of it.

I get why you have doubled, tripled, and quadrupled down on your position. I think it is probable that he is going to IU as well. It's a good bet.

The problem is, you have also claimed in your earlier posts that the UI coaches have already been informed. Based on their behavior, and other indications, that appears to be total BS.

That is what is annoying about your posts, not that you state he's going to IU.

What I meant by "They know" is they have to realize it's a formality. I never meant they were personally informed. I'm just sharing what I know, not trying to be a jerk. Since everyone is getting angry, I'll stop sharing.

I am from Decatur too. Roach School area. lol

Both high schools have been majorly remodeled and are pretty impressive. Still tough schools for discipline, but the facilities are very good. Can't tell you about the grade schools.

Key word is "appear." Nothing about that is certain.

It's about as certain as can be. Both OG and Thonas Bryant are projected as first rounders. And JBJ is gone no matter what happens this year. Same as Troy Williams was last year.

That makes 2 recruits outside the top 200... Things aren't looking too good for Painter at the moment.

UNC has a borderline 4/5 star guy but they have two sub 200 recruits and one at 196. That's pretty bad for a blue blood.

JT woulda helped 'em. ;)

Also, why the dogpiling on the people coming to the board with information? If you don't like the information, don't take it seriously and move on. So inhospitable.

You think so? Don't those blue-bloods need folks to sit and round out their bench as well? Can a program sustain all top 100 recruits only? I just don't know

It's the norm around here for all the years that I have been here.

From 2013-2016 they only picked up one 3 star guy according to 247. In 2017 they have 3.

It's gotta be tough when every school can negative recruit against you while you're being investigated by the NCAA and say that if X recruit goes their he might never get to play in the Tourney because of sanctions, or that Ole' Roy will likely be gone when the punishment comes down (even though we all know they aren't likely to get more than a light slap on the wrist).

Maybe he told Crean in person that he wasn't going to choose Indiana and he told him in person. Fingers crossed.

Gotta understand, when you say "you know" without saying how you know or where this information comes from at all, it dredges up emotions of insiders past who did the same thing and then were wrong.

Most of the time the inside information served only to set up disappointment but there's still a healthy distrust of those who post while speaking in certainty.
