I remember seeing his dad play for Manual in the late 90s (same name). He is under 6 feet tall.

Adam Miller is around 6'3 right now so I'm not sure how much he will grow. He will stick at PG so I'm not sure it really matters if he grows or not.

If he does grow a few inches he very well could end up being one of the top 5 players in the nation, like Livingston was. I'm not sure if we want that or not from a recruiting standpoint.

A little side bar on recruiting and specifically on the recruitment of Livingston. A family member of mine is friends of the Livingstons. He told me not that long ago that during the recruitment process Livingstons first impression of Mike Krzyzewski was that he showed up at his door in a suit and tie, but Weber showed up in shorts. I would guess that it would be different for every recruit, but shows that even clothing may effect how you sell your school. I am sure that Weber was dressed very nicely. Probably in a Illini polo shirt and nice shorts. The next recruit might get the opposite impression, and prefer the shorts.

I also wonder if there was different weather/season that resulted in that difference. ;)

Regardless of his attire, even kids can quickly tell that Weber is a huge dork.

Actually, I think if it is a dork contest, rat face wins and probably qualifies as a pocket protector nerd as well. Not sure I have ever seen him in shorts and if he was, he probably had the same socks on that he wore with that suit. The fact that he swears like a sailor backs up both points.

Adam Miller will be able to go anywhere he wants. Kid is unreal. I've heard that he won't end his HS career at Manual tho. Speculation is that he will go to Chicago either after this year or next (idk why). I think for Illinois sake we would have to pray it's not to Morgan Park. Although Illinois was in on Charlie Moore and pry could have landed him if it wasn't for him pausing his process. Nick Irvin always worries me tho.

I've heard this too although I don't think this ends up happening. His mom teaches at Peoria Manual and a lot of those rumors about him going to Morgan Park or Simeon started because they want him to play there. I'm not sure the feelings are reciprocated. I wouldn't be shocked if he left Manual but it would probably be for a prep school and that would be in order to qualify academically.

The same rumors have been heard around Peoria since last year. Not many parents are very happy with Booth at Manual. My guess is if there was a different coach he might stick around. Prep school is the most likely choice based on what the talk around here is...

Whenever I hear about last minute-ish visits to a recruit right before they announce, I tend to think that's generally a tactic for those coaches who know they're not running first.

With Brunson, I seem to recall that Jay Wright ended up visiting a 2016 recruit instead of checking in on Jalen right before he committed. Also, I think some of us tried to make a big deal of Self snubbing Cliff on his visit to Chicago (dropping in on Okafor instead.)

My guess is that UCLA has him wrapped up. Now, watch Alford show up at Wilkes's school and hopefully remove this tea leave.

If memory serves me correctly, I thought Wright did visit Brunson at his high school just before he announced. I recall seeing pics of an embrace and everyone trying to analyze the meaning of it.

Yes, Wright was at Stevenson around that time.

Makes sense I guess. Especially since we haven't heard anything about Wilkes and UI for quite some time.

I'm very confused where Illinois was in all of this, seems like they were never in it from the beginning

We never were in it until JT committed. Jamal and JG get major props for even getting us into the final 3. It's been UCLA-Indiana for the last month, with UCLA in the lead. He was always the longest of long shots for us. No need to feel salty about this one. KW and family were always up front about things.
