That's niceTom Crean is not interested in an Illinois AC job.
Just curious, have they checked the Paducah water supply recently? My previous post was my 666 th here.....does that peak your interest in asking about my weird or eccentric insiderness ???
Many conclude that I'm a burnt out 69 year old hippie, when in reality my mind has been expanded over my lifetime to acknowledge the cohesive inner beauty that everyone has in them.
Due to environmental upbringing a vast majority of humans have hid or sheltered their joy instead of shining in their own path of life...
I am undeterred and refuse to let anyone, anyone rain on my parade..lts the only parade I get and I'm gonna shine baby shine...

Indeed...KevinC. thanks for that.MI hired a high school coach to be its lead AC and went to two straight National Championship games.
Yeah, that figures. Well, I'm pretty sure that if we went this route, it would fail spectacularly.MI hired a high school coach to be its lead AC and went to two straight National Championship games.
He hasn’t really had the best press lately.Myers Leonard enters my mind with the NBA angle. Pros-can coach the bigs, loyal Illnini, Con-no recruiting experience.
Common guys, that is Izzo as a yearlingpruman, are you an insider?

I thought he was suggesting him for the Assistant to Head Coach position.Plus, he has zero high major recruiting experience. That, alone, makes this idea laughable.
I've been using the zero water filtration system for over 3 years nowJust curious, have they checked the Paducah water supply recently?

I have my cup on. I can take the backlash. This thread has jumped the shark if we’re suggesting Meyers Leonard at this point.
It seems like "only 1" name hasn't been brought up.One name that hasn’t been brought up and it’s Awesome with a capital ‘A,’ baby.
Speaking of dead periods, I feel like there’s been talk in the past of delaying hiring announcements until after the period ends. The thought was the coach could have contact with recruits during the dead period because they’re not officially recruiting for your school if they haven’t signed the paperwork yet. Is that actually allowed, and any chance that’s what’s going on?It seems like "only 1" name hasn't been brought up.
Dead period ends tomorrow? Would be nice to have someone in place by Monday

I would need to see some actual data behind this to agree. My guess is it happens both ways, but it may be more common for NFL coaches to have coached in college at some point. Just off the top of my head I can think of Nick Saban, Pete Carroll, Bill Walsh, Jim Harbaugh, Steve Spurrier, Bill O’Brien, and Mike Riley as coaches that came back to college from the NFL and did pretty well in college and that’s off the top of my head. Schiano seems to be recruiting pretty well at Rutgers and I certainly hope coming back Bielema does ok coming from the NFL back to college. There is a larger track record for success for NBA players/coaches succeeding in the NCAA than for NFL coaches.
