I see a lot of people slotting illini as top 3 in the big ten. I have to be honest, I have a hard time seeing what other team would be favored. Indiana has no shooting. Purdue has no point guard. Michigan doesn't have much experienced talent. MSU is less talented than usual and didn't seem to capitalize on transfer market. Maybe Wisconsin will surprise people again. I guess I'm drinking the (krush flavored) Kool aid, but the only true weaknesses I see for Illinois are point guard experience/depth and lack of cohesiveness in the team since so many new players (i.e. Texas last year).

I don't have high projections for any other team, and I just don't think the big ten is that good. Fortunately it's pretty wide open and the conference schedule should be very entertaining.

Another weakness (as of now) is lack of depth at PF/C.

I do think we have as good a chance as anyone of winning the Big Ten. Of course we need to see what further additions the top teams make via the portal. I would think most, including us, will add another player.

I wouldn't predict MSU in the top five of the Conference.

0k, I have to ask the question. How is the relation with Jake and the staff right now... You think JG would really head to Mich? That would be a strong statement.. jmo
I don’t know who jake hung with but I am confident they are no longer on the team.

It’s an almost entirely new roster that will employ a different style of play than the past few years. Run by a freshman PG. It will take time to come together, and with several players hoping to showcase themselves for the NBA, hard to predict how it will jell.

Every team in the BIG has question marks.

Jake made a business decision to explore the draft. Illinois didn't know if he was coming back and made a business decision to replace his spot. He is going to make a decision now based on what's best for him. If he feels that's Michigan, then that's his prerogative. He isn't going to choose a school to spite the staff
Yep, and if Nance comes here it won't be to spite Chrissy. Fans have a much different perspective on these things than players.

About this terminology. Nance and Dainja could probably play the high post in a sort of motion offense and be effective. Remember two years ago, when Loyola schooled us in the NCAA tourney with that "point center" offense. The guy wasn't all that big, but big enough to pull Kofi out of the blocks and then make precision passes to guys who were making backdoor cuts? There are many ways to do this.
Yep, I concur. There’s a lot of ways to skin a cat,

Can an incoming Freshman enter the transfer portal and be eligible immediately, or do they have to ask for release, and then get a waiver from NCAA. Not that he will, or would ever fancy the idea of playing for the beloved, but gotta feel for Jaden Schutt...he was already going to face tough times to see the court, but especially now.
When does it go from decommitting to transferring? He has yet to take a class there.
