Eh, 20 mil a year is a trivial amount of money in the grand scheme of things (no salary cap for coaches) and Harbaugh is a proven very good NFL head coach.20 mil a year is absolutely insane for a coach who has never won a title. 20 mil a year is get Belichek and Brady back together money.
Proven good coaches are "worth" way, way more than they're currently getting paid, but because the NFL won't allow teams to poach and have bidding wars for each other's coaches, that market never reveals itself, everyone is stuck taking chances on retreads or unproved coordinators. Harbaugh is a genuinely unique commodity in that way.
But man, the Russell Wilson situation, I dunno...
Illinois should hope that Michigan abandons their Bielema-adjacent style the same way Wisconsin has done. The more unique we are in the conference the better.
