The first hole is pretty hard, but that said I'm sad to see Gio start with a bogey on 1. Feels like we're playing 4 vs 5 if he can't get untracked.
I just got a note that they still need volunteers for the Palmer Cup.I was hoping Illini would go to Noblesville regional. I might have traveled to watch them. Good news: Feagles and Tadiotto have experience at Karsten Creek from 2018 NCAA Championship, I think.
I didn't noice that Palmer Cup isn't open to the general public.
But you can volunteer; I have as a shuttle driver all three days.
Just contact Vicky, RHF director of golf, at vmcgowan@richharvestfarms.com.
Usually harder in the afternoon because it is usually windier in the afternoon.not a golfer, so didn't understand the afternoon more difficult than morning because its hard and fast comment made yesterday. after the bogey, at the moment, -4 for today in 7th - #2 FSU has tanked with +11 on the day
Just moving it up a page Go Illini!Scoreboard for NCAA Championships: http://results.golfstat.com/public/leaderboards/gsnav.cfm?pg=team&tid=22822
Me, too. Can't wait; I'm doing two shuttle shifts. I urge golf fans to volunteer - it may be the only time you'll get to set foot on Rich Harvest Farms. Beautiful.I just got a note that they still need volunteers for the Palmer Cup.
Didn't feel good about +5, they finish at +6. Hopefully other teams falter and they can squeeze in.
Yeah, just have to keep hanging around the top 8 and hope that a couple of the biggies like Texas and FSU get cut tomorrow.Don't they still have two rounds before they cut down to match play? I think they cut down to top-15 after three rounds, so there's still a long ways to go and Illinois is in good shape

That's the whole thng - you got to make it to final 15, then elite eight. Long way to go. One step at a time.
GO ILLINI!
Yup, things can change fast. A golfer for Texas Tech came out today at +6 over the first three holes, so his score will almost certainly be dropped, leaving no margin for error among the other four players.I think anyone up to and including Florida State is still in decent position to advance with a good round tomorrow. Anyone at +20 or above is in big trouble, including some good teams like Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, and NC State
It looks like we will be no worse than 7 shots clear of the cut line tomorrow unless more teams drop under plus 13 which is where Vandy is sitting right now. Lots of golf remains today as Tech is dropping badly and will huge amounts of pressure on them. Florida State really hurt themselves and they have no room for error tomorrow. I like our chances to make the top 15 but we need ADC and Gio to step it up. I hope ADC shakes off the last two bogeys and puts a -3 on the board tomorrow. Gio also needs to get going as he is 36 holes without a birdie.I think anyone up to and including Florida State is still in decent position to advance with a good round tomorrow. Sam Houston is coming back to earth and Oregon State is just parring holes at this point so yes, we are in prime position to be ties for 5th if the scores keep rising.Illinois could end up as high as tied for 5th place by the time today's round is over
I also emailed, and she sent me the following link to register as a volunteer:I just got a note that they still need volunteers for the Palmer Cup.
