I'm still trying to wrap my head around Fran actually jumping from Iowa to Michigan.

Because I really believe Darian DeVries would have Iowa in a better position in the short-term.

i've heard miller high life is the most popular beer in the brewer vip area at fobab.
It is, but only because they need/want something light that won't mess them up while they need to work (like while brewing or being at industry events). It's why they started the Lager Lounge, which was way more lit this last year than the rest of FoBAB.

Miller is for wristband deal days and days when you want to remember what happened. It's not something I'd ever drink for the taste

Nothing wrong at all ... I just think at 72 I won't have much interest in recruiting 24/7 in the NIL/Portal Era and with the expansion of the Big Ten having to travel coast to coast every year ...

Especially with 10 or 20 million in the bank ... Think I would get me a nice beach house with some nice NL to look at and call it a career ... ;)🤷‍♂️

Just got off the phone with an agent ... He's hearing the Iowa job may be open as well ...

But it may not be for the reason you think ...

Whichever inside source told you this almost has to be trolling you, right? The only way I'd believe this is if reports came out Fran has a mistress in Ann Arbor who he has 3 or 4 sons with currently ranging from the ages of 11-17.

I’m definitely not a beer snob, but it seems there may be some confusion here.

Miller Lite is a watered down can of pisscohol.

Miller High Life is actual beer with flavor.
In fact, bartenders and craft brewers will tell you it’s one of their favorites.
And we should love it because it’s the…..Champagne of beers. :alma-mater:

John Beilien back to Mich seems like a fantasy to me. JB was and is a great basketball mind and if he had any intention of returning to coaching he'd shoot to the top of anyone's list. But he absolutely hated recruiting and in the NIL/free transfer era he'd hate it even more. And he is 72 with truckload of $$ in his Schwab account. Longest of long shots.

Agreed. If I am Iowa think I would be talking to him now and fire Fran first

Poor memory here ---- Big 10 schools do not poach coaches from fellow in-conference institutions. Correct?
Which coach has transferred between Big 10 schools in the last 60 years?
I posed a similar question back around the beginning of Feb. and Poe's Law responded thusly

"I only found 4 coaches that have had more than one stop in the big ten as a head coach.

Ozzie Cowles
Dana Evans
Ralph Jones
Maurice Kent

Kent and Evan’s both had a gap between jobs. Ralph Jones went from Purdue to Illinois for the 1912-1913 season… but it wasn’t technically the big ten yet (Western Conference).

The only example I could find in the Big Ten was Ozzie Cowles going from Michigan (1947-1948) to Minnesota (1948-1949)."

Thanks!

As I suspected --- and as it should be. No poaching.

This was my exact reaction ... Fran is reportedly doing whatever he can to get the Michigan job ...

Michigan also has had a couple very large donors say they will pledge HUGE money ... If they can pull one of the 3 coaches they want ... Mainly 1 donor who's putting up 60% of the money so it's kinda what he wants ...

Anyways ...

I am talking salary up to $9 million ... NIL at $4.5 - $5 million ...

I don't know if any of these coaches would take the job ...
That is insane. If I were a Michigan fan (barf), I’d be very disappointed with that hire.
