Clark was 3-16 from 3. Her season 3 pt is 41% so if she had an average game she would have hit 4 more 3 pointers for 12 points. Iowa would still have lost 86-81. Indiana shot 52% vs Iowa 39%. Indiana outrebounded Iowa by 9. That was the difference, Clark would have made it closer but Iowa still loses.
I am not following your logic. Most teams don't lose a game just on one bad area nor did I ever say that. Iowa shot 17.9% from 3 pt range and 38.8% from FG range. Indiana shot 42.9% from 3 pt range and 51.6% from FG range. Logic has it there will be more chances for rebounds when one team misses a bunch more shots. It all ties together. Iowa was down 8 end of 3rd quarter, majority of the rebounding differential came in the 4th quarter. Think Iowa went 0-8 from 3 point range in 4th quarter and Indiana got 7 defensive boards from those misses. Here is my exact post you are quoting me on below.....
"Loss by Iowa likely took them out of race for regular season conference title. Iowa is suspect on D and explosive on O. Iowa was cold from deep and Indiana hot.
One of the few games Clark and rest of team were cold. Funny when you think Clark still scored 24 pts, 10 rebounds and 9 assists."
Clark from 3
1st half 3-9
2nd half 0-7
Rest of team from 3
1st half 0-5
2nd half 2-7
