I just use my own chunky marinara and some really good sharp Cheddar and Mozzarella and grate just a little pepper Jack. I braise the Brats in beer (3 parts bud light to one part Yuengling) to get the grease out. I pull them out, let them cool and slice them crossways into circles. Place them on each layer of noodles bake and enjoy. Good fresh Mushrooms go on one half (son doesn't like shrooms). Red onions go good in there too!

Fixing my homemade Bratwurst Lasagna today for tonights basketball games.

We can say the L word as long as it has bratwurst in front of it can't we?

Interesting read but the author somewhat is saying that Lovie may start to dominate in state recruiting but Fitzy is going national so it doesn't matter. There is the possibility that NW comes in 2nd and 3rd place on those out of state recruits as well. Fitzgerald has done a great job to be sure, but the more Lovie can have success, the more it will negatively impact NW.

Thought this was an interesting article on Lovie's potential impact on the Mildcats...

All these commentators want to do, though, is fixate on Lovie's transition from NFL to college. Yeah, that's part of the equation, but I'm not sure that the staff upgrade isn't actually the bigger game changer. We're not just sending Lovie in the front door; we're sending Garrick McGee and Nickerson and generally speaking a better group of position coaches in after him. On both sides of the ball, we're in a much stronger position to sell the future of this program than we have been in anyone's memory. And we'll have a dedicated recruiting coordinator on campus, like the big programs do, to keep everyone on the same page. I really don't know what our ceiling is here. It's uncharted territory for not only us, but really any program outside the true bluebloods.

Agreed I'm not sure what the impact will be, but I think that inarguably Illinois has a higher ceiling for recruiting than Northwestern at least..

During Zook's early years he clobbered Northwestern and routinely beat the Wisconsin, Iowa's Michigan St's of the world. He even played in the Blue Blood world a bit.

Lovie's potential is at least that high

No doubt Northwestern football has been on the rise since Fitzgerald has been there, but they're delusional about the power of their brand and how far it's going to get them against the Texas/Oklahoma and Michigan/tOSU's of the world.

+!

It will be great to consistently beat the kitties, finish ahead of them and out recruit them, both in state and overall. That Fitz will stew over it makes it sweeter.

My sights are set higher, but yes, first we must take care of the Kitties. This staff has a chance to be very, very good.

Can someone please explain why recruits can visit other schools (Epstein visited Michigan today), all during the quiet period.

Think it's fine for them to visit the schools, and have contact with him there. Just can't contact them via text/call. I think they can dm on Twitter during quiet periods.

Garrick McGee discussed this on one of the interviews, because of the rules being designed around outdated modes of communication there really isn't a quiet period anymore.

And players are always free to initiate contact with coaches themselves.

This is not really relevant to anything, but I was just watching the Bears 1985 30 for 30 and did not know that the QB for the Pats the year they won the Superbowl was Tony Eason.

My first thought was - wow, I wonder if Eason has a son that may be college aged (a la Jeff George). Turns out he does. Turns out Jacob Eason is going to be a Freshman at Georgia and was the #5 ranked player in all of football. #2 ranked QB.

That would have been nice...

Maybe we can make up for it with another legacy who is blowing up for 2018
