Petty is second half of the podcast. So 30 min? Talks about how they landed him, recruiting strategy, his level of play. not just surface talk and stating facts. In depth with guest who knows Mississippi high school recruiting. I thought it was the best commitment and recruiting podcast I had listened to in a long time.

Just posted highlights to one of our 2024 commits. If this isn't allowed I can take it down.

He's a 2023 commit who's already on campus. Probably best to post the highlights in the "Illinois Football 2023" thread.

How teams like ours get better is developing 3 star players into 4 star players. JJ Watt was barely a 2 star player. He will be in the Hall of Fame most likely. That is why Wisky succeeds. We have the coaches and the players to have 2 and 3 star players become 4 star. If i recall, Devon Witherspoon was a walk on and now he was the 5th player taken in the draft. I believe we will win the west with 9-10 wins. Citrus Bowl unless we win the conference championship game. Thats the Bar.

I don't recall Devon being a walk on, but he wasn't rated coming out of high school.

Here's the post with the new commit alert for Witherspoon: https://www.illinoisloyalty.com/post/illini-football-2019.25018/page-5#post-1472781

Also some posts further down about Sydney Brown's brother transferring to us.
