When I'd graduated and been out a couple years, if someone had compared a new recruit to a Big Ten freshman of the late '60s I would have said that's going back a-ways, too!

Hate the first part but LOVE the second part.Heard this afternoon that Hoiberg and Abdelmassih locked up Bryce McGowens and he is coming to join his brother at Nebraska. Should be official Friday.
Now for some good news, as I said earlier in the week, Washington was down to two (Creighton and Illinois). Talked with a good source this afternoon, and he said we should be getting some good news this weekend...

This made me wonder how bad their recruiting has actually been, so I checked their 247 "All-time commits" (which is somewhat limited as it seems to only go back to 2003). Their top recruit is Glynn Watson and he would plug in at #21 for us right between Crandall Head and DJ Williams.

I'll take that. Gritted the Hawkeyes to a Big Ten Tourney title if I recall correctly. Looked it up--he was honorable mention All-American. Who would be a good Illinois comp to Recker? Andy Kaufmann?

I'm going with a mirror image of Kevin Huerter (Maryland). 6'7 with red hair. A starter both years he played at MD, before turning pro.

I just watched highlights of Ty Ty on Youtube. The kid is a killer in the mode of Ayo with a better 3 point shot. He hit a three at the buzzer to send the game into OT. He also likes to draw Offensive Fouls on driving players. He did it three times in the game I watched. The best part was everyone on the court was a player.

He does get going downhill and pretty tough to stop. Would be happy with Ayo jr. but not going to compare him at this point. Would seem to fit very well with Adam and Belo.
