Looking at stats and highlights I honestly would be pretty thrilled with getting Pullin if he’s a realistic option. I know the jump from big west to the big ten isn’t a small one but he at least has the size that would make the transition easier.

RayJ is not even projected to be drafted next year by any of the services that put out mock drafts (at least not that I can see/find). He will not sniff the 1st round unless something crazy happens anyway, so that's probably not the best way to look at this imo.
That's what I find so odd about this narrative that he was told to come back to school to be the man, when it's clear that he would be at best a role player in the NBA. Wouldn't it make more sense to show that he can be a facilitator on a team with better players than him?

Well, based on the comment from CH and TS about next years team having players on it they will play for each other, this is probably turning out to be a blessing. Ray J seems to be in it for himself and that is fine. Not a knock, but probably wouldn’t be best for us.
Which person isn't in it for themselves? People can thrive in a team atmosphere, and win more games by being a team player, but those things also reward the individual. That's part of the beauty of team sports. You get more by giving more.

I also fail to see how turning down more money to go somewhere he feels is better for him (for whatever reason...) is somehow selfish, or makes him not a team player... If anything, it says the opposite to me... I'd find it easier to hate a kid who was simply going to the highest bidder. The fact that the money didn't speak as loudly as it does in so many other recruitments, kind of makes me sadder he didn't choose us.

Maybe that's just me.

Twitter is lighting up the insiders. LOL My view is that it was all good information but even if it was BU himself on here nothing can be guaranteed until they sign. We knew all about Dennis long before he was in the portal and I've never even heard of him before. That was strictly because of the insiders here.

It seems like the feedback he got was go where he can showcase his talents without sharing as much of the spotlight. He is looking out for #1, himself. I don’t fault him for that one bit, but for the team we root for, we want a complete team effort and everyone pulling in same direction. The fit might not have been the best for our team as we thought. That’s all I’m saying. Just looking for bright side here.

I guessed when there wasn't a post stating a commitment, along with a 33 page recruiting thread, since Monday, it wasn't good news. But, I guess the bad news isn't confirmed yet. Also, potential good news. So, going back to my hole. I will see if I can see my shadow next week.

I rather roll the dice with DGL than that.
It was meant as a sarcastic joking comment, however who would CH and TJ rather play with? As a Jaylon Tate last resort situation I take AC everyday even with his baggage

development knock:

sounds like pure BS to me. Did Trent and Ayo develop? ok, those guys were multi-year players. how 'bout Plummer? yeah, he was good at Utah, but he was better at Illinois.
Yeh! I agree with you. I know people are a little upset and with good reason but you are right on cue here. We are a great developing program. Tougher league too.

Why does this matter? NBA scouts aren't stupid - if you are talented and are the third option on a team they will find you regardless. You would think being surrounded by better players would be a plus, not a minus.
Ahh they’re not stupid but you think they’re telling kids that UTAH is a better developmental program than Illinois? Just think for a second about what you’re saying.

I would take Mulchahy in a New York second. I believe he could play PG and off the ball for breaks. He has good size and can take it to the hoop, saw him give Damonte fits when he was guarding him.
As long as we invited Mayer back once a month, had him chug a sixer of Monster and then wail on Mulcahy.......I'm good with it.

If things don’t work out with RayJ, I think we should be open to Caleb Love. When he’s “on”, he‘s a star. Last year was a mystery at Carolina, but I remember him carrying UNC to the NCAA championship game the year before with insane shot-making and athletic plays. He just needs to be more judicious, smart and careful with his shot selection and decision making. He might benefit from a more structured system.
