I would love to know what the play we drew up down 69-67 was. Mayer came for a handoff and Hawkins wouldn’t give it to him. Seems like someone wasn’t running the play that got drawn up.
Me too. Not ripping on Cohawk, he plays his butt off, but I think at times he freelances and goes rouge because he thinks he something. It all fell apart on that play with him dribbling way too much once again.

Does MM even know what play they were trying to run at the end of the game?
Yes, it looked like he was not on the same page with Hawkins. Mayer was demanding the ball instead of rotating and moving away from the ball as signaled by Hawkins who was at the point with the ball.

Haven't read through the thread yet so I doubt I'm adding anything new. But, I admired and enjoyed the fight in the second half. But this team has established a pattern of getting down big from lack of effort and discipline. It's absolutely avoidable. These guys have shown us time and time again that they can be GREAT but how do you make them want it? I also found it disturbing that, with the biggest game of the year on the line and out of a timeout, we have guys seemingly fighting over who gets to be the hero. And ultimately, the deterioration of our offense into hero ball is what did us in.

I think this gives us something to build on going into the post season though.

The early mishaps were TSJ.

I thought two of them were on dain not rolling when it was obvious thats what he shouldve done (and he usually does), so the pass went out.
HE also had a TO where he threw it straight to Newman

TSJ was bad to start too though for sure, i just thought a couple of TSJ TOs were making the obvious read and dain not being on hte same page

The comeback makes me more mad, honestly. If you don't have the goods to beat Purdue, whatever. If you do and you blow it by sleepwalking through the first half, that's unacceptable, and this team has been doing it all season. I'm so tired of waiting for this team to be as good as it should be.

If I’m Purdue I feel really icky about this win on senior day. Yeah ya won but you got shellshocked at home and a recipe was created for your future defeat.

A couple of them he just flat out got his pocket picked in the backcourt, which led to layups.

Without knowing the play, it’s difficult to call out Hawkins. It looked like others weren’t in the right position.

That was a bad look coming out of the timeout. Hopefully someone will ask Brad what that particular play called for. As soon as the confusion started, you just knew it wasn't going to end well.

Eh, a win is a win. I would be thrilled about escaping with the W.
