Molina caught his 2,000th career game today. Only 6th catcher in MLB history to ever do that. Only difference between he and the other 5 (Pudge Rodriguez, Carlton Fisk, Bob Boone, Gary Carter, Jason Kendall) is that Molina is the only one to do it with the same team. By the end of this season, he could be up to 4th all time in games caught. He'd have to play to about age 42 (He turns 39 in July) to pass Pudge Rodriguez though.
And of course, the starting pitcher for his 2,000th career game at catcher today just happened to be his long time battery mate, Adam Wainwright.
