If we wind up having an opening ... Yes ... And he'd be bringing some boys with him ...

Ok State must have a guy already ... Because as of last week Mike was safe and now he's not ... They have barely any NIL and expect compete at the top of the Big 12 ...

OK State athletics ... See below ...

any openings in low major Illinois universities? I know we hate on him, but I’d really really love to have boynton and Geoff is low man on the totem pole.

Happens all the time ... Funds get "reallocated" ...

Which is why I am glad we are not a poverty program and we have good people in our athletic department and on the NIL side that know what they are doing ...

We are very blessed here ...
It sounds like the shift from the Guardians to Icon is going in a way that's keeping everybody happy?

Uh, tax lawyer on line 1.
I guess the NIL collective itself could donate the funds to the University to pay the buyout.

I have no idea what the incorporation and governance structure of an NIL collective would be, it's kind of an odd duck of an entity.

I get that money is a factor but sometimes I wonder if it's just safe to play the Ben Jacobsen route. Stayed at Northern Iowa after back to back 2nd rds and he's going on his 19th year at Northern Iowa. Hasn't made the tourney since of course but he's still there

i was hoping he would consider siu, but i love this. depite osu's recent run, i think he can coach. growing up in chicagoland (i'm afraid to say when, ha), depaul was the first big time college ball i was exposed to. and, yes, they were very much still big time back then.
Would love for SIU and Bradley to get back to where they were. It really annoys me that Illinois (as a state) has lost a bit of its reputation for having a rich basketball tradition ... I'm only 32, and I remember as a kid thinking of Illinois as the 1B to Indiana as 1A as far as high school basketball and general hoops hysteria. Now, I bet your average Illinois high schooler doesn't even know that Illinois is the home of the ORIGINAL March Madness.

Having Downstate programs being competitive would go a long way to improving that image ... so I wish Holtmann would wind up at SIU.

Brad Underwood to Oklahoma State.... But just for 1 year. Then he's back at Champaign. He left some things at his old place and figured this was easier than hiring movers.

Alan Huss coach of High Point was born in Decatur, could be a name to look out for regarding Illinois jobs

Pat Kelsey and Matt Langel could be 2 names to look out for on moving up to higher job
