That's the kind of thing that gets wind sprints after the game until everyone is vomiting.I mean we’ve all gone out and got drunk the day before we weren’t supposed to

How much do you donate?Perhaps you're right. But I'll bet you're not.
Yes, absolutely…either that or punitive use of the treadmillThat's the kind of thing that gets wind sprints after the game until everyone is vomiting.
Back in my day...it would have resulted in turning in the uniform and watching the next game from the standsThat's the kind of thing that gets wind sprints after the game until everyone is vomiting.
Thank youIt’s about what he didn’t do … Have a backup plan that is just as good or a slight step below …
Where? Other than practices and a few spot minutes here and there, where has he run point? Maybe he can do it and I certainly will be ecstatic if he can, but I have seen no evidence at all that he has successfully run a team from the point guard position.I think they will still see what they can get, but having Ty run the point is the current plan and I believe he can do it. He is the hardest working kid on the team from what I have seen and heard, and no better guy to do the job at hand. It would be different if he had never run point before, he has.
You are absolutely supposed to get drunk on the Eve of your graduation ceremony.I think I was still drunk during graduation ceremony....
Denzel likes it:I have a slightly adulterated quote from Mark Twain:
"Those who don't read the Illini Basketball blog are UNINFORMED. Those who DO read the Illini Basketball blog are MISINFORMED."
Staying put.What happened to Reeves?
This issue with the guys you're point out are that I don't necessarily think Illinois is a step up for them. We're not a blue blood that is able to poach nearly anyone.you responded to someone saying if we can get Sean Miller. So he is pretty much baked into the cake with the post. It doesn't have to be Sean Miller just because Indy has sleepovers once a month in the Miller compound.
It could be Nate Oates, Jerome Tang, Dan Hurley, Scott Drew, Eric Musselman, etc. I'm not saying any of these guys are legitimate options. I'm just saying Brad Underwood is a very good coach, but he is not the best coach in the nation. If you can get someone with an objectively better career record, viewed objectively by people outside of our fanbase as a better coach, then yes, doing it is a positive for your program. It's a positive for the program a year early, a year late, or right on time.
Just because someone improved your program doesn't give you a lifetime contract. That really makes no sense. And obviously, you don't fire someone who isn't killing your program without having an agreement in principle first. I think we can give Whitman that much credit. Oh and we aren't a program that can poach a coach, how do you think Underwood got here in the first place?
How much do you donate?
If not for the actions of 3 of our own men; we'd be superior to IU in basketball. A former assistant AD Mel Brewer did by far the most damage. Mike Slive comes in second, followed by Bruce Weber.I
A bunch of biased opinions:
* Indiana, I definitely agree. Indiana isn’t Duke…like they like to think they are. Which is sorta like we aren’t Indiana…but we like we like to think we are. (Historical Resume based here)
I understand that logic but why is Underwood getting all the blame?I am sure BU did all he could have done to get Ray J but sometimes that is not enough. Maybe Dennis did not want to be scoring option number three. After all, he waited until Shannon and Hawkins confirmed they were coming back and then he announced for Baylor. He might have been fine being option two but not three. Just like anyone else, the kid is going to do what he thinks is best for him and his future.
While the bold isn’t wrong, objectively, I don’t think that any of coaches you mentioned would leave their current situations for UIUC. Especially when setting the precedent of a short leash.you responded to someone saying if we can get Sean Miller. So he is pretty much baked into the cake with the post. Does high school count for you?Where? Other than practices and a few spot minutes here and there, where has he run point? Maybe he can do it and I certainly will be ecstatic if he can, but I have seen no evidence at all that he has successfully run a team from the point guard position.
Well, there’s certainly no way of knowing. Total wins you might have an argument. If not for the actions of 3 of our own men; we'd be superior to IU in basketball. A former assistant AD Mel Brewer did by far the most damage. Mike Slive comes in second, followed by Bruce Weber.
That point is simply, there are better coaches out there. With the possible exception of when we had Bill Self, there are always better coaches out there. While the bold isn’t wrong, objectively, I don’t think any of these coaches mentioned would leave their current situations for UIUC. Especially when setting the precedent of a short leash.
I liked them all. This board is an emotional roller coaster. And I love it."Like" this post if you are on team "This internet poll is a stupid idea"
